About the role
We are looking for a skilled Laravel Developer to join our development team. You will build, maintain and improve web applications in Laravel and PHP: designing and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services, working closely with MySQL and MongoDB, and keeping applications fast, secure and reliable in production.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience building scalable web applications with Laravel/PHP. Experience with Node.js will be considered a plus.

Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
Work with databases and optimise queries for application performance
Write clean, reusable, secure and maintainable code
Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues and production problems
Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices
Work with Git and modern software development workflows
What we’re looking for
2+ years of professional experience with Laravel/PHP
Strong understanding of the Laravel framework and PHP development
Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend development
Experience with MySQL and MongoDB
Good understanding of database design, queries, indexing and optimisation
Good understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab
Understanding of authentication, authorisation, security and API integration
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Nice to have
Practical experience with Node.js and JavaScript
Experience with WebSockets, Socket.IO or similar technologies
Familiarity with Express.js or other Node.js frameworks
Experience with Redis, queues, caching and background jobs
Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD or cloud platforms
